Mumbai Oct 18th 2013(Sailesh Gandhi): Professionalism and Punctuality go hand in hand and actors are often targeted keeping these two concepts in mind. Recently, for the shoot of STAR DIWALI – Thodi si Muskan, Dher sara Pyar, Deepika Singh aka Sandhya of Diya aur baati Hum arrived on set even before the crew. She was also caught telling people on the set that for her time is money and she hates delay.

Sources say Deepika was on set half an hour before call time and was seen gearing up for her performance at the show. “From the time Deepika entered she was looking very energetic and she was definitely excited for her performance at Star Diwali,” says a source.

“I live by punctuality; I don’t like people keeping me waiting so I practice the same. I like to be before or on time but never late it’s something I have always lived by,” says the petite actress.

Ace choreographer and dancer, Puneet was set to perform various daredevil fire stunts. Keeping in mind all safety measures, accidently Punnet injured himself while performing one of the stunts but he was mentally strong and got back to his act without wasting time.  

The entire crew rushed to him but the professional he is, Puneet got himself together within minutes and set his dancing feet back on stage giving a brilliant performance.

Nakuul and his beau Jankee who were very excited to be on the show will now not be seen on Nach Baliye-6. The reason for their last minute back out is Jankee’s injured knee.

This happened when Jankee was returning from her show in Hongkong and slipped and fell on the escalator and has been advised eight weeks bed rest. The couple that was excited to be on the show is very upset with the turn of events. In fact they even shot for the promo for the show but had to back out because of Jankee's injury deteriorating.  

When approached a source from the production house confirmed that the couple was locked for the show but because of this unfortunate accident the couple had to back out from the show. While they tried to manage with the injured leg but because of doctors strict instructions they had to withdraw from the show. The stage will surely miss one of the most popular celebrity couple but as they say you never know what the future holds.

Mumbai Oct 16th 2013(Sailesh Gandhi): One of Bollywood’s most established and renowned filmmaker -Ashutosh Gowarikar has recently joined the fan club of STAR PLUS’ Mahabharat. Ashutosh who is known for his hit films likeLagaan and Jodha Akbar has been enthusiastically following Swastik Productions’ Mahabharat and seems to be all praises for this mega show.

Ashutosh penned down a special note to the makers of Mahabharat exclaiming his views on the epic that’s been on air,“Creatively, the biggest challenge for Star's Mahabharat is to match up with B.R. Chopra saab's Mahabharat. But that is inevitable. That series back in the 80's really influenced us, with regards to every aspect, be it casting, sets, dialogues and everything else that an epic needs. And I may add here, that I've been watching the series so far and I feel that this one too might just match up with the previous one.

Firstly, the concepts about mythology and the epic are very well presented, thanks to Devdutt Pattanaik once again. And I find the dialogues by Mihir Buta to be a fine blend of keeping the essence of Sanskrit but making it palatable to audiences today. What I like most is that Star, for the first time, (I may stand corrected) has put all their money on content. And what better content to have than the great epic!

It is very well executed. The sets are grandiose. The costumes are beautifully designed. And the property created is exquisite. I loved the embellishments spread out across all the scenes and locations - especially the use of ducks in the shots of Krishna, and many more.

All the actors have been cast well - a couple of names that immediately come to mind are Sayantani as Satyavati and Samir Dharmadhikari as Shantanu, who played their parts very well. And of course, Bheeshma - I would love to see how this actor plays the older Bheeshma in the later part of the epic.

Mahabharat Shakuni 

I think this Mahabharat will prove to be a triumph for its Producers, Directors and STAR and this might just become a reference point for this generation. Sure, these are the first few episodes, and by the looks of it, this level of quality is going to be maintained - at least I hope it is going to be. After all, it’s Star, and they always know what they are doing!”- Ashutosh Gowariker.

Ashutosh’s note has been a great source of motivation for the entire team that has been working tirelessly on this epic project. The effort of the cast and crew is to ensure that the audience is not only visually satisfied but also largely educated.

MumbaiOct 3rd 2013(Sailesh Gandhi): Curiously looking around, smiling ear to ear, replying to every glance, Judge and Chef Vikas Khanna had this reaction when he saw Bharti on the set of Junior Master chef Swaad ke Ustaad. It was a laugher riot on the sets with  Bharti visiting Junior Master Chef for her love ; Chef Vikas. Chef Vikas on the other hand Khanna was as once again convinced that he would get bombarded with the flirtatious attention from comedienne Bharti and be the focal point of her antics.

The comedian who is known for her comic timing set the house on fire with her random punches at Vikas  Khanna. Looking at this even the contestants couldn’t resist but tease them while they made casual conversations.

Vikas was later taken a back when it revealed that she had observed a fast for him and would only break it once the contestants had cooked vrat ka khana for her. The drama didn’t end at this; Bharti also insisted that she would only break the fast if with her “Vikku” fed her. An embarrassed Vikas agreed to her request but ended up getting a small bite on his finger from the naughty actress.
