MumbaiOct 5th 2013(Sailesh Gandhi): The Bombay Bullion Association (BBA) Limited hosted a mega event, India International Bullion Summit (IIBS), to commemorate its 65th foundation anniversary. The maiden IIBS was a one-day summit, which was held on 5th October here at Grand Hyatt, Mumbai.

The focus of this mega event was to strengthen India's presence in the global bullion market and was aimed at increasing interaction of India's burgeoning gold and jewellery industry with its international counterparts. It served as a platform to connect with the bullion & jewellery industry and its prominent personalities, affording high profile networking and business opportunities.

According to Mr. Mohit Kamboj, President of BBA, over 2,000 delegates from every facet of the Indian and international bullion and jewellery industry including leading associations of the global gold industry attended the summit. “The IIBS served as the single platform for industry experts, suppliers and buyers to converge and address the concerns of the industry.

Large mining companies from around the world, key exchange owners, gold analysts, foreign bankers, equity companies, notable bullion merchants and jewellers from India as well as experts in the field and important government officials marked their presence for the first-ever mega event,” says Mr Kamboj, who has conceptualised the IIBS.

Highlights of the 1st IIBS day long agenda were three valuable seminar sessions graced by eminent guest speakers. There were many business meetings opportunities at lunch and tea to increase the interaction between all delegates.
Eminent speakers graced the seminar sessions by sharing their valuable insights and stimulating lively discussions. The BBA honoured many luminaries and dignitaries with the 1st India Bullion and Jewellery Awards for their contribution and meritorious work in the Bullion and Jewellery Industry.
