Mumbai Oct 10th 2013(Sailesh Gandhi): Radhika Sood Nayak was crowned as Mumbai’s Radio City Super Singer 2013, with Shoma Bhattacharya bagging the first runner-up position. The winner was applauded with a prize of Rs. 1 Lakh and an opportunity to cut a song with director Anubhav Sinha.
Radhika, Shoma, Jai, Abhishek & Rama were the 5 finalists pitted against one-another in the finale.
Bollywood hitmaker Sukhwinder Singh adjudged the competition, along with singer Palak Muchal and director Anubhav Sinha of RaOnefame. The finale saw a full house, with the audience rooting for their favourite singers.
Radio City Super Singer kicked off on September 6, 2013 with auditions across India. A rigorous shortlisting filtered out the best of talent in each city. A week long intense training session by music industry experts honed the talent of the finalists, for the grand finale. The 5th season has taken Radio City Super Singer a notch higher, surpassing the registrations received last year.
This year the hunt for the best voice took place across Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Pune, Jaipur, Baroda, Surat, Ahmednagar, Nagpur, Vizag and Coimbatore.
