Shilpa Shinde replaces Kamya Panjabi as Daya maayi in Life OK’s Do Dil Ek Jaan

Mumbai Sep 11^th 2013(Sailesh Gandhi):After much speculation, it is Shilpa Shinde who has stepped in the shoes Kamya Panjabi to play Daya maayi in Life OK’s Do Dil Ek Jaan. Shilpa who was last seen in a comedy show will now essay the antagonist in the show.

The queen of her basti, she trusts her son Raghu (Ayaz Ahmed) blindly. A woman marred by dark past, she disapproves of Antara and will decide the fate of the two lovers, Antara and Raghu.

Shilpa says, “I have been waiting to play a negative role for quite some time now. The role of Daya maayi is unlike the usual vamps you would see on television. She does not involve in kitchen politics but is a strong and committed woman who would go at any lengths to get her job done. She has a lot of interesting shades to her and I am happy to be able to portray such a powerful character.”
